Last night Spouse was waiting for Bunny and me to to get out of the sauna at the gym after our workout. He showed me this ad he spotted on the back cover of Men’s Vogue. “Can you believe how great Sean Connery looks? This guy is timeless!” I agreed with a nod and a “Woof”. Bunny asked who he is, and Spouse told her he is James Bond (Spouse does not acknowledge that any other Bond exists. As far as he’s concerned, the Bond series ended with 1971’s Diamonds Are Forever. I tend to agree.) Aaanyway….
Imagine our delight when we turned on the tele to see my personal favorite, Dr. No playing. I knew the kids who had never seen it before would love it and fully expected the boy’s eyeballs to pop out of his head and his tongue to roll out on to the floor like a Tex Avery cartoon when Ursula Andress showed up in that white bikini.

What I did not expect, was Bunnie’s reaction to seeing a 31 years old Sean Connery in his tiny bikini. Further evidence that my 14 year old daughter who looks nothing like me, is in fact, exactly like me. I’m so proud.

How funny! I’ve not seen that picture, but I’m glad that your daughter has sophisticated taste like her mother!

Until Daniel Craig, he was my favorite, too. Now, if we could only get back to true Bond. With the humor.
