If you follow me on Twitter, you have read approximately eleventy billion updates on my car saga. For the rest of you, here’s the dish. We made the last payment on the econo car for Bear, so it was time to get a car for me. The only stipulation was that the payments , maintenance & insurance had to be equal to or less than Bear’s car. I came in under budget and over vroom-vroom!
This car is a Very. Big. Deal. Its the first time in 20 years that I have been able to buy a car I want without having to settle or compromise. This car is for me. Not for my husband. Not for my kids. Not even for my dog (don’t laugh, we bought the SUV to cart her and other rescue Danes around). Nope, this baybee is just for me. Behold!
I’ve named her Tessie

Thank you for buying a sports car with manual transmission. I feel like its a crime to buy a nice sporty car with an automatic transmission, you simply cannot drive it as its meant to be enjoyed.
And I’m totally jealous. Want. Car. Now.

Just today, I was listening to music that I’m supposedly too old to enjoy and I was really starting to do the steering wheel dance when I realized, geez I’m in a mini-van. A nice, 2009 loaded mini-van, but no matter how new and how many techie accessories it has, it’s still a mini-van, and will never be described as “tricked out”. Oh, I’m dripping with envy - enjoy it, girl.

I would imagine Bear’s insurance alone is more than your payment, tax and insurance put together.
Fabulous ride! I would have to move to Texas for that sort of car. In the first place, it wouldn’t get up our driveway, in the second place, there’s only about 8 days a years you could put the top down up here.
